GIFAM’s annual press conference

Role

We work with GIFAM, a trade body for household goods, to manage brand reputation concerns in the white goods, household appliance and electric heating sectors. Deciphering underlying consumer trends and providing benchmark indicators for the sector, GIFAM holds its annual press conference in February of each year.

To mark the event, it unveils its market report for the home appliance sector. The press conference has become a fixed point in the calendar for the profession and numerous journalists. At a time when the economy was buffeted by the Covid crisis, the 2021 and 2022 editions were keenly awaited.

Support

As part of our services, we handle all aspects involved in organising the event. We draft all the communication material – save the date, invitation and press release – and we work with spokespeople to prepare their interviews and statements by drafting talking points and conducting run-throughs. We are also careful to proactively reach out to journalists to ensure the attendance by representatives from financial, trade and mass market outlets that leads to quality coverage in the media.

  • Over the years, the annual press conference has become a key event for the media, not just for the figures and data but because it gives an idea of consumer trends in France.
  • Over 150 mentions generated in the national press (Les Echos, Le Figaro, 20 Minutes) and regional dailies (Le Progrès, le Dauphiné Libéré, le JSL, DNA, l’Alsace, Le Républicain Lorrain, Vosges Matin, l’Est Républicain, Le Bien Public).
  • The results were also picked up by radio and TV outlets, such as the item during the evening news on TV channel FR2 analysing growth in the home appliance sector.
